FYI...

TABLE TENNIS COURTESY REMINDERS

All of us from time to time forget some of the basic courtesy guidelines for table tennis. Please remember the following things as you play:

ROTATIONAL SEQUENCE:  Rotational Sequence will come into effect when ALL AVAILABLE tables are at capacity.

Rotational Sequence is defined as follows:

 Play 2 games to 11 points. The pair who loses the second game will be replaced with 2 new players. The winning pair will separate and play one more game with 2 new players. Both players who remained for the additional 1 game will rotate out.

 Then rotate out 2 players at each table. (There are no "tie-breaker" games. Two players rotate out after 2 games.)

 If players are engaged in a single-player game, complete the game (to 11 points) and invite 2 new players to join a double-player game. This rule does not apply to any scheduled Singles session.

If this sequence is not adhered to, the President or any Board member is authorized to counsel the behavior and enforce the rules per the SCTTC Bylaws.

1.  Refrain from talking during the point. This is distracting to some players and can change the outcome of the rally.

2.  If your ball rolls behind another group's table, please wait until their point is over before retrieving it. This is for the safety of all players.

3.
Call the score before serving the ball. This helps all players remember the score and also lets the opponent know to expect a serve.

4.  Please silence your cell phone. If you need to be able to answer a call, remember to step outside the room so that others can continue playing without distractions.
