All CA facilities will be open until 3 p.m. except for CA Business Offices. The ballroom will remain open for the New Year’s Eve Dance. Golf is closed.
Monday, Jan. 1 (New Year’s Day)
All CA facilities are closed.
Golf Note: Due to weather conditions, all greens will be covered Dec. 30 and will problaby remain so until Jan. 4. Please check course conditions for any changes.

New in 2018! We’re excited to offer community shred days to residents on the first Thursday of every other month starting in January. We listened to your feedback and we have revamped the process to make it as safe and efficient as possible for all. Shred Days will now take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Cowan Creek Amenity Center parking lot only. Two trucks will be stationed in the parking lot during this time:
- Residents may bring up to two (2) paper bags or cardboard boxes of paper to shred.
- Please shred ONLY personal/private documents, bank statements or old bills.
- NO plastic bags will be allowed
Other 2018 Shred Days are: March 1, May 3, July 5, September 6 and November 1.

State Veterans Cemetery Seeks Volunteer Coordinator
Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, located on TX Hwy 195 south of Killeen, is looking for a volunteer to assist veterans and their families living in the Sun City Texas community with the process of pre-registration for eligible burial benefits. Some training at the cemetery is required to prepare the volunteer to work on their own. Interested individuals can call Randy Brumagim, Volunteer Coordinator, at 254-681-4515, for further details.

The latest group of engraved bricks was installed on the Veterans Memorial Plaza on December 16, 2017, so the newest bricks were in place for viewing by friends and family of honorees before Christmas.
With this installation, 84 new names have been added to the plaza, and 81 of them were installed in Section A in the most westerly area or the memorial. Those in Section A were placed in the odd numbered rows of Rows 29 to 43. Three existing bricks were relocated to Section A to achieve grouping of specific persons such as members of a single family. Three of the new names are in Sections F or H. To locate a specific brick, use the kiosk in the Sun City Social Center or the link below.
The next installation will be in July 2018. Order deadline for that installation will be June 1, 2018 which falls after the Memorial Day Ceremony. Click Here for information about ordering a brick. |

HOA & LMH Dues and Golf Rates
The 2018 resident HOA dues of $1,130.00 were approved by the Board of Directors on November 16, 2017. Next year's dues will be billed the first of January and, if paying in full, will be due by January 31, 2018.
