Request a Free Fire Inspection of Your Home Exterior

Submitted by the Sun City Texas Firewise Group

Did you know that decisions you make regarding the landscape of your home affect the potential for your home to be burned in a wildfire? According to Firewise Communities USA, we live in an area where urban development interfaces with wildlands. This area is defined as the Wildland-Urban Interface zone. Windborne embers, fire brands, and human ignitions can ignite buildings and combustible vegetation.

While our homes are fire resistant, there are some features that can bring fire into your residence in the event of a fire in the area. The Firewise Group will perform a FREE and CONFIDENTIAL Home Ignition Zone (HIZ) evaluation to help you understand how your home could be affected in a fire situation. They will provide you with recommendations for managing the problems identified. Most can be remediated with minor enhancements to the maintenance of the home and landscaping.

To request a FREE HIZ Evaluation, sign up at any of the Monitor Desks or Click Here.
