Friendly Reminder: Feral Hog DamageSubmitted by Jim Romine, Executive Director, [email protected]
As many of you have heard, the feral hogs have been hitting our White Wing Golf Course and causing severe damage over the last month. They are also damaging residential lots in N-32 and causing considerable damage to turf. As such the CA has been working with our Wildlife Biologist Warren Bluntzer to control the damage and remove the hogs from our community.
Over the last couple of weeks we have removed five hogs. To do this we are utilizing trap sites and snares and respectfully ask that everyone stay away from these trapping areas to help with our process and for your own safety. Most of our trapping efforts are in the N-32 area and on the WW Golf Course between holes 10-15.
We also ask that you do not let your pets run loose in these areas as we would hate to have one caught in a snare. Finally, much of the damage is occurring on the White Wing course at night and we ask that residents respect our rules and not walk on the courses late at night and in the early morning hours. _________________________

The AARP Tax-Aide program provides 40 hours of tax preparation training in early January 2017. Tax preparation and e-filing is provided to everyone except for those with complicated returns.
To volunteer call 888-687-2277 or register on line at http://www.aarp.org/taxaide. If you have questions contact Jim Burrell, AARP Sun City Local Coordinator, 512-819-1957. ___________________________________________ Submitted by Carlton Mathis, Common Area & Irrigation Superintendent, 512-948-7792, [email protected]
With almost two inches of rain this past week, sprinkler controllers should remain off. Barring a flash drought, its possible that we may be able to leave them off for the remainder of the year. I have turned off all common areas, and plan to irrigate manually only the new sod and plant areas as needed.
For assistance with your landscape irrigation system, email the Water Matters Team at [email protected].

Georgetown - First Purple Heart City in Texas The Purple Heart is awarded to any member of the U.S. military who is wounded or killed in combat. Georgetown became the first city in Texas officially designated as a Purple Heart City when the Georgetown City Council approved a resolution on September 10, 2013. You should start seeing signs to that effect popping up around town. There are several posted in Sun City.
