Friendly Reminders

Submitted by Jim Romine, Executive Director, [email protected]

1.  From time to time staff is asked about the rules for parking on the streets and at residential homes and where such rules exist. I wanted to take this opportunity to share the parking rules and remind everyone that these rules are in Paragraph 8 of Exhibit C to the CC&Rs. I would also like to remind everyone that parking in the garage is the preferred location when possible. Please Click Here to read the Parking Rules.

2.  An important safety reminder is that vehicles driving on Del Webb or Sun City Blvd. have the right of way on the streets and should NOT stop for golf carts waiting to cross the road. These are 4-lane roads where many of the vehicles are going 35-40 mph or higher and some drivers are stopping and waving golf carts across. This creates a very dangerous situation since a vehicle in the next lane over might not stop or a trailing vehicle may rear-end the other that is stopped. Golf carts need to be sure to stop and verify it is safe to cross the roads before going from hole to hole, and remember that the cross traffic has the right of way.

3.  Ice stations along the golf courses are for golfer use only. Resident’s should not use these ice stations for non-golf related purposes. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Share Your Wisdom & Memories

Grandparents are a treasure trove of knowledge, filled with a lifetime’s worth of experiences and abilities to be shared with their grandchildren. In honor of Grandparents’ Day, Sun Rays wants to know: What have you taught your grandchildren? If you aren’t a grandparent yet, what lessons do you hope to impart on your future grandkids? Whether it’s a shared hobby, a well-honed skill, a family legend or a personal value, tell us in 300 words or less for possible publication in the September issue of Sun Rays. Photographs are highly encouraged!

Submissions must be received by Friday, July 29, so don’t delay! Send your story to [email protected] today!
