Update for Fitness Centers Starting Monday, May 3
Residents must wear a mask (nose and mouth covered), clean machines after use, and sanitize hands when entering and exiting the fitness centers.
We appreciate your continued cooperation. Due to your efforts and the hard work of housekeepers and fitness staff, we can open more areas and expand hours of operation safely.
Verbal or physical abuse or intimidation is never accepted or tolerated in fitness.
Hours of Operation
- Monday -Friday: 6:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Sunday: 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Cleaning
- Residents are still responsible for cleaning their machines after use.
- Housekeeping will continue to go around the entire facilities, locker room, showers and pool throughout the day. All areas of the fitness centers are sprayed down with sanitizer after closing each night.
Locker Rooms
- Residents and staff must wear a mask in all parts of the locker room/changing area. Exceptions are made for the shower.
- Showers are open.
- Lockers are open. You must bring a lock for the lockers at Texas Drive (TD) and Cowan Creek (CC). TD has key-less lockers now, a lock is now needed. The Retreat still gives out keys. No overnight lockers available unless renting the bottom level from the front desk.

Classes remain on the reservation system.

- Residents and staff must wear masks while walking out to the outdoor pools/spas. Masks may be off during swim time and lounge time. Masks must be on when going to the outside bathrooms and when entering the buildings.
- No outdoor pool noodles available
- No guests

Chartered Club Quarterly Meeting Friday, May 7 from 9 to 10 a.m. in the Georgetown/Florence room at Cowan Creek Amenity Center. MASK REQUIRED
All club officers and neighborhood representatives should have at least one representative in attendance. We will introduce Heather Jones, who will be handling your Chartered Club/Neighborhood Accounts Payable the next several months. We will discuss Phase 3 guideline reminders effective Saturday, May 1, changes to guidelines beginning Tuesday, June 1, along with a few reminders about the new VBO event ticketing system you have been using , budget timeline and using direct deposit when reimbursing your club members.

National Preservation Month
|
|
Preservation Month is an annual month-long recognition each May of historic places and people sponsored by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
The City of Georgetown Planning, Public Library and Economic Development departments are partnering with building and business owners to celebrate historic buildings in Downtown Georgetown. Preservation Month events include an exhibit of historic building paintings at the Georgetown Public Library, a storytelling event at the Williamson Museum, Tuesday Talks and a tour at the historic IOOF cemetery.
