Fitness Centers Update: Effective Monday, April 5
Residents must wear a mask (nose and mouth covered), clean machines after use and sanitize hands when entering and exiting the fitness centers.
We appreciate your continued cooperation. Due to your efforts and the hard work of the housekeepers and fitness staff, we continue to open more areas and expand hours of operation safely.
Verbal or physical abuse or intimidation is never accepted or tolerated in fitness.

Monday -Friday: 7 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. (closed for cleaning noon – 1 p.m.)

Saturday 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (closed for cleaning noon – 1 p.m.)

Sunday 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (closed for cleaning noon – 1 p.m.)
Cleaning

Fitness Center will be closed from noon to -1 p.m. (only), seven days a week. Residents will have to exit the building and pools for the entire hour. Locker rooms will be closed for cleaning at noon.
- Staff will lock the Texas Drive Fitness Center front doors during cleaning time. The fitness halls at Cowan Creek and The Retreat will have caution barriers during cleaning time.
- Residents are still responsible for cleaning their machines after use.
Locker-Rooms
- The dressing room area (only) will be open. No showers until a later date. No lockers until a later date. Swimsuit spin dryers will be available. Residents and staff must wear a mask in all parts of the locker-room/changing area.
- Capacities for changing area. Changing areas will be closed starting at noon until 1 p.m. each day for cleaning like the rest of the building and pool areas.
o TD locker-room changing area capacity six people
o CC locker-room changing area capacity four people
o Retreat locker-room changing area capacity two people
o Showers are still closed, but spin dryers will be available.
Announcements
- Cash and checks accepted again. Receipts available.
- Classes remain on the reservation system.
- Staff will be adding additional classes back inside.
- Water fountains are still closed except for bottle fillers.
- Vending machines are still closed.
- Residents and staff must wear masks while walking out to the outdoor pools/spas. Masks may be off during swim time and lounge time. They must be on when going to the outside bathrooms and when entering the buildings.
- No guests.

Volunteers Needed!
Sun City Texas is very excited to be hosting the Boys’ and Girls’ 5A and 6A State Tournaments this year and will be needing volunteers in the following areas:
- Parking lot attendant
- Crossing Guard
- Ball Spotters
- Forecaddie
The Girls will be playing Monday and Tuesday, May 10-11, and the Boys will be playing on Monday and Tuesday, May 17-18. Play will take place on Legacy Hills and White Wing golf courses. If you are available and would like to volunteer at this fun and prestigious event, please contact Janice Brown at [email protected] to let her know how you would like to help out!

Masks are mandatory in all SCTXCA facilities
Face masks will be provided for free to all who do not have one available. Please carry a mask for those times when you are not able to keep six feet of physical distance between you and people that are not in your household. This is especially important to remember when jogging or walking the hiking trails, golf cart paths, sidewalks and when outside with others in potentially close proximity.

Lake Georgetown in Stage 1 Drought Watch

Lake Georgetown is in Stage 1 Drought Watch as a result of drier than normal conditions in portions of the Brazos River basin and drought trigger levels set by the Brazos River Authority’s Drought Contingency Plan.

City of Georgetown water utility customers should make sure they follow the two-day watering schedule for irrigation systems and hose-end sprinklers. The year-round, two-day per week irrigation schedule is based on the last digit of the street address.
