Bringing Nature to Your Yard
March is the time of year to restore your
yard, but where do you start? Nature
Club Member Martin Byhower will pres-
ent a program on how to achieve your
goals. Martin is certified in Texas Native dance to the music of the golden oldies.

Oldies But Goodies Dance

Do you remember listening and dancing to
the music of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s? Well,
that’s what the Oldies but Goodies (OBG)
Dance Club is all about: dancing and
listening to the music of the Rock ’n’ Roll 532-7073 or
era. If you enjoy and remember classic

then you might want to be a part of the
OBG Dance Club.
The OBG is where the “young at heart”
The club is open to all residents. The
classic hits of the past will be featured
in five dances scheduled throughout the
year and performed by the very best
of area rock ’n’ roll bands in the Social
Center Ballroom. OBG dances for 2017
29, July 15, Sept. 23 and Nov. 11.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and dances start
at 7 p.m. BYOB and snacks. Ice and
water will be provided. Dues are $10 per
person and entitle the member to attend
all OBG dances at no additional charge.
Non-members and guests are welcome
to attend any event at $10 per person
payable at the door. Period dress is
recommended but not required.

There will be a dog training information
meeting on Wednesday, March 8, at the
Activities Center, 1 Texas Drive. Anyone
should attend this meeting.
Dog testing will be done on Sunday,
March 12, in the Salado Room at the
Cowan Creek Amenity Center starting
at 8 a.m. Volunteers are needed to help
with the testing by acting as a “crowd.”
Volunteers work in two-hour shifts. If
interested, call the Pet Club for more info.

Center, Cowan Creek Amenity Center, the
Legacy Hills Grille and the club website.
Special Interest Groups: SIG meetings
are held in the Photography Rooms in
the Atrium, Game Rooms 1 and 2.
Current SIGs are: Competition, Creative
Photography, iDevices Photography/
Video, Lightroom, Nature, Photoshop-
PSA Digital.
Field Trips: Monthly field trips
offer members great photographic
opportunities. There is a brief session
prior to the field trip to discuss trip details
and logistics; another get-together takes
place after the trip to share experiences
and photographs taken.
Membership: The 2017 dues are payable
online and are $12 for the first person and
$5 for each additional family member for
the remainder of the year. You may join
through the Sun City Texas website.
