SUN CITY NEIGHBORHOODS CARE
Stuffed animals line the stage of the Social Center Ballroom during a holiday celebration. Neighborhoods 9 and 15 shared
the room for an evening of fun, dancing and great food. A total of 226 teddy bears and other stuffed animals were
collected for Blue Santa Cares, a program that enables first responders to distribute bears to children who have been
involved in a traumatic event.
Community Engagement Officer Delta Jolly of the Georgetown Police Department and her daughter Peyten attended
the event and spoke to the audience about the program.
