New players and guests are always
welcome to play with us. Members play at
8 a.m. Monday through Saturday during
the summer months and at 1 p.m. when
the weather is colder. Our club dues are
only $12 for 2017 and bocce balls and
yardsticks are available in the small bin
next to the club shed for guests to use.
Once again we had that very rare 6-point
frame, this time scored by Bob Lull.
Results of our sixth and final league of
2016 were as follows: Steve Mellinger –
first place, Larry Hunting – second, and
Don Webb – third. Our competitive year
of 2016 ended with an eight player one-
on-one tournament to determine the club
champion for the year. Qualifiers were:
Larry Hunting, John Luther, Sherry
Nogle, Stanley Payne, Joe Platek, Russ
Ruff, John Shideler and Don Webb.
After three elimination games, the club
champion for the year was Don Webb
who finished in first place. Larry Hunting
took second and Joe Platek came in third.

Country Western Dance

Monthly dances provide traditional
country western dancing in the ballroom.
Dances will have recorded music or a live
band. Ice and water are provided. Please
bring your own beverages and snacks.
Membership is $12 annually and covers
admission to monthly recorded dances;
however, additional fees may be charged
for special events. You can go online to
the Sun City Texas website under Clubs
& Interest Groups to pay dues or make
your check out to SCTXCA and bring it to
the Member Services Office. We will have
the Mark Richey Band for our January
Dance. Dance lessons are offered through
the Fitness Center.
Couples Golf Association

This club was formed for the purpose of
promoting golf among Sun City Texas
in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Playdays are every third Saturday,
rotating around the three Sun City Texas
courses. We have three social events
planned for the upcoming season. Refer

The CGA has players of all skill levels,
so you will always be improving your
game or helping others improve theirs.
