Public Service: SCARS members are
available to assist Sun City and the local
Georgetown Fire and Police during local or
regional emergencies, and help with local
and county special event communications
when additional radio resources are
needed. When normal communication
modes are down, ham radios still work
and can contact outside resources--locally, bring your own special teacup for the Tea
regionally, and worldwide. When all else
fails, ham radio works.

We typically have two regular dances
each month. Both feature a wide range
of dances, such as Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba,
Cha-Cha, East and West Coast Swing,
Bolero, Samba, Night Club Two Step,
Tango and Merengue.
Light refreshments will be provided for
the Tea Dance. You are encouraged to

We also organize a ‘’Social Dance”
throughout the year where members can
come and mingle, chat, drink wine and
have refreshments while dancing in a very
relaxed environment.
Guests are very welcome to these dances
– please come and dance with us!
Dance Classes: We offer a variety of dance
classes at various levels from beginning
to advanced on Monday and Tuesday
evenings for current Ballroom Dance Club

Summer is over, but you can’t tell from the
thermometer. In September, we have our
annual Billiards BBQ at the Legacy Hills
Park Pavilion. This is always one of the
hottest tickets in Sun City, but you must be
a club member to purchase one. But even
