Sun City Live! presents Sun City’s first
Fourth of July variety show. We are lining up
entertainment for a heart-warming holiday
show to celebrate our nation’s birthday. If you
love apple pie, patriotic songs and marching
bands, then you will want to buy a ticket for you and your family.
This one-night event is filled with surprises and fun to entertain
young and old. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Tickets
are available on the Sun City website (sctexas.org) and at the
Member Services Office.

The Sieker Band brings bluegrass, even the
banjo, to new heights. After playing bluegrass
music in Europe for several decades, Rolf &
Beate Sieker now live in Texas where they
created their own sound influenced by Texas
fiddlin’ and songwriting. In 2008 the Siekers
were inducted into the Gatesville Country Music Hall of Fame.
They have played many concerts in Germany, toured throughout
the European countries, appeared on television and radio shows
and have recorded five albums, two in Nashville, Tennessee and
three in Berlin, Germany.

Steve Jobs takes us behind the scenes of the
digital revolution, to paint a portrait of the man
at its epicenter. The story unfolds backstage at
three iconic product launches, ending in 1998
with the unveiling of the iMac.

Pinot’s Palette Georgetown is coming back
to our ballroom with their mobile studio. Be
inspired by their artists who will guide you
through your painting. An artist will be on
stage teaching step-by-step, and artists will
also be on the floor to answer questions and
guide your hand. At the end of the night, leave with your own
masterpiece. There will be fun music playing; this is a great
event for girls’ night out, date night or a night on your own!
Bring your own snacks and beverages!
NOTES: We must have at least 20 people signed up by July 1
to schedule this event.
You will choose your own reserved seat when you purchase your
ticket. Plan ahead with your friends so that you can sit together.

Open seating cabaret style
Austin has been home to a chapter of the
Barbershop Harmony Society since 1961. In
the past four decades the Austin Chord Ranger
Chorus and Quartets have performed around
town thousands of times. Hundreds of local
singers have joined in the fun as the group
has encouraged and preserved the uniquely American art form
known as Barbershop Music. Now the Rangers have a new name
and a new vision which is called A Capella Texas.

During the Cold War, the Soviet Union
captures U.S. pilot Francis Gary Powers after
shooting down his U-2 spy plane. Sentenced to
10 years in prison, Powers’ only hope is New
York lawyer James Donovan (Tom Hanks),
recruited by a CIA operative to negotiate his
release. Donovan boards a plane to Berlin, hoping to win the
young man’s freedom through a prisoner exchange. If all goes
well, the Russians would get Rudolf Abel (Mark Rylance), the
convicted spy who Donovan defended in court.
