New players and guests are always
welcome to play with us. During these
winter months members play at 1 p.m.
Monday through Saturday. Club members
are always ready to teach anyone
interested in learning how to play the
game.
Our club dues are only $12 for the year and
bocce balls and yardsticks are available
in the small bin next to the club shack
for guests to use. We invite all residents
to try the game and then consider joining
our club.
This month no one was able to score a
5-point frame.
Our latest league play was just completed
with the following results: Larry Hunting
(first), Don Webb (second) and Joe Platek
(third).
In our final competitive event for 2015,
a special one-day single elimination
tournament was held for the top eight
scorers in leagues played throughout the
year. The four top finishers were Don
Webb (first), Nick Drury (second), Larry
Hunting (third) and Hank Ziegler (fourth).
Also competing were Ben Compagno,
Marilyn Marlar, Russ Ruff and John
Shideler. Janet Lull was eligible but
unable to compete.
Congratulations to all members who
participated in our leagues during the
year!
Bocce Fact of the Month: The game of
bocce is a great way to meet people with
socializing and a little competition along
the way. Try it – you will like it!

promoting golf among Sun City Texas
in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Playdays are every third Saturday,
rotating around the three Sun City Texas
courses. We have three social events
to the website calendar for exact dates
and locations.
The CGA has players of all skill levels,
so you will always be improving your
game or helping others improve theirs.
