                                     The magical kingdom of
Fredericksburg awaits – shops filled with
dazzling finery, eateries offering an array of
tempting pasties and ales, a boardwalk
featuring a bevy of amusements and
distractions. But do not dally too long, for we are about to venture
“Into the Woods” and experience a musically exciting and witty
re-imagining of beloved fairy tales.

Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine have taken favorite
storybook characters and with a bit of a twist, brought them
together for an enchanting and timeless classic. The winner of
three Tony Awards, the story centers on the baker and his wife
who wish for a child but cannot conceive due to a witch’s spell. To
break the spell, they must embark on a quest to find four items:
a cow as white as milk, a cape as red as blood, hair as yellow as
corn, and a slipper as pure as gold.

Wishes will be granted and dreams will come true as multiple
fairy tale characters and their stories intertwine. They also
find that sometimes happiness has consequences and we must
be careful what we wish for since it may be exactly what we get.

There will be time for lunch on your own and shopping before
the matinee. Feel free to bring soft drinks and snacks on the
bus for the ride home.

Ticket cost includes transportation and matinee.
