The Sundancers 19th Anniversary Dance
will be held on Monday, Jan. 18, in the
ballroom. Guest caller Scott Bennett of
Lawton, OK will assist Brad Caldwell
with calling the square dance. Jerry and
Lucy Pate will be cueing the rounds.
The Sundancers Christmas Dinner Dance
was held Dec. 7. Each member of the club
brought an unwrapped stuffed animal,
toy or game. These gifts were donated
to the Blue Santa Program, sponsored
by the Georgetown Police Department.
The Sundancers also rang the bells for
the Salvation Army appeal at the City
Market on Dec. 12.

tion website). Balls and tables are in the
closet of the Salado room and paddles are
in the cabinet. Please sign the log-in book

Table Tennis is a sport which can be
played at the beginner or the Olympic
level. Playing exercises both your brain
and body and puts a smile on your face!
Men and women of all ages, including
some nonagenarians, can play this low-
injury activity. There is a ladies group, a
men’s group, mixed play and singles and
doubles. There is a social scheduled in
February, four Board meetings per year
and an annual membership meeting. The
club also offers members, at no additional
cost, beginner and intermediate clinics
and use of a robot for practice. Check the
website for events, meetings, clinics, so-
cials and photos! Yearly dues are $10 per
person. We are a friendly group where
everyone is supported and encouraged.

Tennis at Sun City is for all playing sched-
ules and all skill levels. Whether you’re
just restarting tennis or an active USTA
player, join in and let’s play some tennis!
To reserve a court with your friends, come
to the ball draw at 5 p.m. two days in ad-
vance of your desired play date, or just
show up and play on any available court.
For even more fun, join us and take part
in some of our many other activities.
Try Open Tennis, which features doubles
with no partners, no levels and a friendly
coordinator to get you started. Play Monday
and Wednesday evenings or Friday morn-
ings at times posted on the court schedule
on the bulletin board between Courts 2 and
3. Just show up and have fun!
Use the Tennis Game Finder. Locate other
like-minded (similar skills, schedules, etc.) Arts Studio. Members also exhibit at
tennis players. Sign up cards are on the
bulletin board.
At the January meeting, JoRene Newton
ciation (SCTTA) and participate in our
leagues (we offer Women’s, Men’s and
Mixed doubles leagues), tournaments (we
sponsor two weekend tournaments each
year), tennis socials and various other
activities.

The Visual Arts Club invites all residents
of Sun City Texas to explore or further
develop their creativity in the realm of
visual arts. The VAC offers classes, time
to paint in the studio, seven SIGS, art
shows, exhibits and social events.
“Meet the Teacher,” to be held at the
Florence/Georgetown Room of Cowan
Creek on Jan. 20, between 2 and 4 p.m.,
offers an opportunity for anyone wanting
to know more about the club to be able to
explore the classes to be offered during the
upcoming year. Teachers will be present
with their work on display and will
answer questions and visit with potential
students. Classes are offered for all levels
of experience and in multiple mediums,
including oils, acrylics, watercolors,
drawing, collage and Chinese Brush.
Class offerings can be located on the
website, where registration is available
to members.
Residents of Sun City and of Georgetown
are invited to our exhibits at which
affordable original art by our members
