people and get to know what they do for the community. Here
in Sun City, the fear is lack of interest and that the same old
handful of people would show up. If you are interested in the
opportunity to hear what each department does for us and meet
the employees, please let Jim Romine know. In the meantime,

2016 Holiday Drawing
Wednesday, November 4, 10 a.m., SCB
Submitted by Sheree Barnes, Event Services Manager
Due to limited available space, each fall it is necessary to have
a drawing to allocate venues for the following year’s holiday
events. All chartered club and neighborhood request forms
were sent out via email the second week in October and must be
returned to the locked container at the Social Center Monitor’s
Desk no later than Monday, November 2. Any chartered club
or neighborhood requesting space for a holiday party MUST
have a representative present at the drawing to select its date.
If you have any questions, please contact Sheree Barnes at
[email protected] or 512-948-7415.
I am here. What can I do?
Become involved in Sun City Texas
Thursday, November 5, 9 a.m., SCB
RSVP by Monday, November 2*
With so many opportunities to become involved in the
Sun City Texas community, it can be hard to know where
to begin. This event, sponsored by the NRO and CA
committees and clubs, will help you learn more about
the many opportunities for involvement in neighbor-
hoods, clubs, committees and even the CA Board. Ways
to participate vary widely, ensuring numerous options
to suit your preferences and availability.
Following short presentations on the various types
and levels of engagement, attendees will participate in
round-table discussions of their experiences and have
their questions answered. Coffee and door prizes will
be available.
Your efforts can help to keep our homeowner dues at
a reasonable level and make a real difference in your
community.
