MIGHTY CASEY STRIKES OUT!
Susan Gomez relays this story about her dog, Casey:
“If you know our dog, Casey, you know he is the cham-
pion squirrel chaser of the world... or was.
A squirrel came into the yard and Casey went out to
chase it. But this squirrel wasn’t scared.
Casey was very confused. He barked, and the squirrel
was supposed to run away, but it didn’t.
Casey barked and jumped as high as he could. He even
tried to climb the tree, but this squirrel was hungry and
wasn’t giving up. Finally, Casey decided there wasn’t
much he could do about it and walked away. I’ve stopped
asking him to ‘chase the squirrel’ because it makes him
bark endlessly out of frustration.”
