For the past two years, my wife, Joyce
Gullickson, and I have gone to Festival
Hill for “Poetry Forum at Round Top,”
an annual multi-day festival that at-
tracts some of America’s most prominent
poets for readings and workshops. I had
the opportunity to read a poem in the
concert hall. It was remarkable. Every
musical note, every poem that was read
there, every song that was ever sung
there still lingers in the walls. It is a
wholly magnificent place and experi-
ence. As a place to write, study and lis-
ten to poetry, Festival Hill can’t be beat.
