Texas Hold’em No Limit Tournament
The Poker Club will hold a $24 buy-in
Texas Hold’em No Limit tournament
on Tuesday, July 14. The tournament
will consist of no more than three tables
with a maximum of 30 players. A sign-
up sheet is posted on the bulletin board
in Game Room 3. You must place your
name on the sign-up sheet to reserve a
seat for the tournament.

elers. We build them and we run them:
airplanes, sailboats, helicopters, quads,
powerboats, cars, and off-roaders. Come
and learn how to do it. Lots of members,
men and women new to the hobby or sea-
soned hobbyists, will show you how. We’re
just over four years old, and we’ve grown
to over 160 members. We even have a
computer-controlled flight simulator if
you don’t want to do the “live stuff.” We
“fly it” at the weekly meetings. Monthly
run cars/off-road vehicles in the Social
Center Ballroom and do other fun stuff
at Berry Creek Pond.

tions to fly, so our flying usually takes
place in the early mornings or evenings.

The RV club brings together those resi-
dents of our active lifestyle community
who also enjoy the RV lifestyle. The re-

Our Independence Day concert, “America,
I Salute You,” will be held on Friday, July
3, at 11 a.m. in the Social Center Ballroom.
As a special treat, there will be a 30 min-
ute pre-concert by the Dixieland ensemble
“Just Friends” starting at 10:30 a.m. Re-
served seat tickets of $6 are on sale at the
Member Services Office or online.
The Singers will be on hiatus after the con-
cert until August 25 when rehearsals for
the Christmas concert will begin. Do you
like to sing? New members are welcome!
All that is required is a love of singing,
attendance at most rehearsals and the an-
nual dues of $10. If you would like to sing
in the Christmas concert, please attend the
25, or Tuesday, September 1. Please arrive
by 6:20 p.m. (20 minutes early) to add your
name to our membership list and collect
your music.
Dulcimers - a SIG of Singers
We continue making music together
and presenting gigs at local nursing
homes. To honor our national holidays,
we have decided to play a few patriotic
tunes at these gigs. Debby Owings picks
our tunes and schedules gig dates. A big
shout out for her hard work.
Practice is every Saturday morning from
6 to 8 p.m. in Rooms 3and 4 of the Activi-
ties Building. You are welcome to visit.
