JANUARY 2013
ONLINE:
SCTXCA.ORG
our spring 2013 reviews, and will stay
on the list if they are still determined
to be worthwhile.
Going forward, there are four major
projects planned for 2013 that that
should offer significant improvements
to our course’s playability. These proj-
ects will require additional funding,
which is included in the 2013 Golf bud-
get and which the CA has committed
to spending early in the year.
The major projects are:
Reworking the drainage area in
front of #14 green on White Wing.
This work will be done by an outside
contractor.
Cleanup of the area to the left of hole
#8
at White Wing and establish a
base of fescue grass—this was done
on the right side of this hole several
years ago.
Removal of large tree branches that
are down to the ground on the left
side of hole #6 at Legacy Hills. This
work will be done by an outside con-
tractor.
Remove a significant portion of the
sand in the greenside bunkers on
Legacy Hills and replace it with a
courser grain of sand to provide a
better base.
There are also two other significant
areas that will be addressed in 2013:
Removal of a significant portion of the
sand in the fairway and greenside bun-
kers on White Wing and replace it with
a courser grain of sand to provide a
better base; and reworking the fairway
bunkers on Legacy Hills. Both of these
projects will be funded through the golf
course reserves.
We feel that good progress has been
made in our on going efforts to improve
course playability, and our plan is to
continue these efforts into 2013 and
beyond.
