Tuesday, Apr. 3 9 a.m. Ballroom This year's Emergency Management Committee Town Hall focuses on how to be prepared for emergencies that might occur, whether man-made or natural disasters.
Keynote Speakers: - Georgetown Police Chief Wayne Nero addresses Active Shooter Awareness and Preparedness.
- Jarred Thomas with Williamson County Emergency Management talks about Warn Central Texas and the WILCO Ready App.
Be Aware, Be Pro-Active: "Warn Central Texas"; "Stop the Bleed" Initiative; Pulse Point; and Smart 9-1-1. EMC members will assist people in signing-up for these services.
There will be vendor tables where you can talk with various members of groups that help us all stay prepared: Firewise; COPS; and SCARS for weather radio assistance (see next article).
There will be door prizes! Come early for coffee and donuts.

Board Candidate Application Filing Period Begins

Pre-Qualified Candidates! Filing Period is Mar. 30 - Apr. 13
If you are interested in becoming a Qualified Candidate for the Sun City Texas Board of Directors (which includes many CA provided campaign resources), you may download an Application to Serve online (Click Here) or pick one up at the Member Services Office. Applications are available between March 30 and April 13. Be prepared to include a brief, one-page biography and photograph with your application. Applications must be received by 4 p.m. on Friday, April 13. Attend the Info Session
An information session for the candidates will be held on Tuesday, April 17 at 9 a.m. in the Activities Center to discuss campaign rules, timeline and to draw for candidate order of appearance in CA-sponsored publicity and events. Questions?

Radio Control Modelers Open House
Friday, Apr. 6
1 - 4 p.m. Free The Worship Place
The club will display many of their projects including large-scale planes, model railroads, quadcopters, cars and boats. Quadcopters and cars will be demonstrated both indoors and outdoors, including the use of first-person view goggles. Open to all Sun City residents and their friends and family.

Donation Bins There are collection barrels at the Activity Center (1 Texas Drive) that are used throughout the year by local nonprofits and service organizations to collect donations. - The Caring Place: Nonperishable food items.

- The Locker: Basic student needs including clothing and hygiene, snacks.
- Sertoma Club of Georgetown: Used hearing aids.
