Check All Disks
Before Returning

imgMany of the library audio books will be traveling by car to far away places this summer. Please ensure that all discs come home safely in their album container, and return to the library in good condition. Too often, albums are returned with one or more discs missing or badly damaged, making them unusable. Also, if you find "orphan discs" from any previous checkouts or trips, please return them to the library ASAP.

Don't Leave Your Dog
in the Car this Summer!

imgBy now I hope everyone knows not to leave pets locked in a hot car. Even for a minute. If it is 95 degrees out, a closed car will rise to 115 degrees in ten minutes. If you cannot sit in the car with the windows rolled up, why would you leave your pet in there?

Also, don't forget about the hot sidewalks! Pads on a dog's paw do not offer enough protection when it's 95 degrees out and the sidewalk is 120+ degrees. If you cannot walk barefoot on the sidewalk, your dog's paws will hurt too. And it's even hotter on blacktop!

Level Three Common Area
Mowing - In Process

Submitted by Carlton Mathis, Common Area & Irrigation Superintendent, 512-948-7792, [email protected]

Round 1, Phase 1, week 1 has us at a really good pace right out of the gate. We will be mowing in the neighborhoods south of Berry Creek next week.

Although the majority of this process can be handled by our mowers, there are some areas that are less accommodating and will need to be handled with line trimmers. The line trimmers can be up to two weeks behind the mowers. All cuttings will be left where they fall. This is a Fire Wise exercise only, and not for aesthetic, or any other purpose. Click Here to see a mowing map.
