The CA Board has four Resident members just like you and elected by you. Your elected Resident members work with three Developer-designated members to make many decisions that affect our daily lives, such as budget and homeowner fees, policies, infrastructure and oversight of advisory committees. It is important for you to understand the role and function of Board members, so you can elect the best qualified candidates. Come to this Town Hall to learn more. There will be four interesting presentations and time for questions. Speakers include a current and past Board Member, CA Committee Chair and CA Staff. And of course there will be refreshments.
To make sure we have materials ready for you, please RSVP by January 11 to [email protected] listing attendee names. ______________________________ Friendly Reminders Submitted by Jim Romine, Executive Director, [email protected] - When using the new cart path that runs from N-59 to Dove Hollow, please remember to follow the posted rules and please remember:
a. No pets are allowed on this path. b. You cannot ride your bicycle on this path, but it is ok to walk your bike. c. Walkers are ok to use this pathway. d. Please be safe! - The CA has purchased two speed display units that will be managed by the GTPD. The PD will place these units in areas where the most complaints come in about speeding. These signs reflect your speed and if flashing, mean you are speeding so SLOW DOWN!
- Please have a wonderful and safe holiday season and look out for those who may have had one too many.
- PLEASE remember to stop for pedestrians in the cross walks.

Dog Parks to Reopen 9 a.m. Monday December 7Submitted by Catrin Dubois, Landscape Superintendent, [email protected], 512-948-7791 We are hoping, depending on good weather, to reopen the Dog Parks this Monday, December 7. The past rains created some problems that had to be fixed, and the soil is still a little wet. But the turf is good and we even had a dog “test run” on it. Check the Resident Home page by 8:30 a.m. on Monday as to whether or not it is open.
Important notice for your pets’ safety and health: We will have to fertilize approximately every two weeks for months to come and when we do we will have to close the park for the rest of the day. The fertilizer label states that you must wait 24 hours after application before you can walk on it. However, because of weather and other circumstances, we cannot know exactly what day the fertilizing will take place. We will put notices on the bulletin board, and, if the schedule allows, we will put a notice in the Friday Communicator.
All CA staff appreciates your patience while we work on the improvements ______________________________ Water MattersSubmitted by Carlton Mathis, Water Manager, [email protected], 512-948-7792
All irrigation controllers
should be off at this time. Weather forecasts for a warmer, wetter winter
continue to prevail. If you are away for the holidays, consider turning
off the water to your home in case a waterline breaks and goes
unnoticed. |
