Holiday Decorations & Exterior Lighting
Submitted by Carl Zimmerman,
Residents are reminded that holiday decorations were to be removed by Friday, Jan. 15. Residents are further reminded that Article 7.2 of the Design Guidelines states that except for a light dedicated to the night-time illumination of the US Flag and solar powered lights that are not controlled by a timer, exterior lights on house including holiday lights should only be illuminated from sunset until 10 p.m. Please contact Carl Zimmerman at [email protected] or 512-948-7461 with your questions.

Pedestrian and Golf Cart Safety
We’ve seen a new trend here at the Sun City Texas Golf Club. More and more golfers are opting to walk the golf courses while playing instead of using a golf cart for their round. This trend will likely continue, and we need your help in remaining aware when you are driving near the golf courses. When approaching crosswalks, please be careful and remain aware of potential golfers crossing the street.
Pedestrians do have the right of way when crossing the street, but yielding to any vehicle is far safer.
And a Friendly Reminder...
Golf carts must wait until they can cross a street safely; vehicles are not required to stop for a golf cart that is waiting to cross.

Deer Trapping
Our annual deer management program and trapping is underway. This is done under a Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPWD) permit and is carried out according to the TPWD guidelines. Go to https://tpwd.texas.gov for more details and information.
We must remind all residents that tampering with, interfering with, or damaging the nets; or purposely hindering this activity, is protected by Texas law. It is a Class B misdemeanor which is punishable by up to 180 days in jail, a fine of as much as $2,000 or both.
We will be making every effort to carry out this activity as quickly and smoothly as is possible. Should you have any questions, we encourage you to contact the Wildlife Management Committee at [email protected] or attend our virtual Monthly Meeting at 3 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month.
