Native Area Maintenance Update
Submitted by Carlton Mathis
Common Area Superintendent, 512-948-7792

We’re starting to find our groove, and are picking up momentum. We’re just a little over halfway through Phase 1.

Although the majority of this process can handled by our mowers, there are some areas that are less accommodating and will need to be handled with line trimmers. The Line Trimmers can be up to 2 weeks behind the mowers. All cuttings will be left where they fall. This is a Fire Wise exercise only, and not for aesthetic, or any other purpose.

Reflective Address Markings
Submitted by Carl Zimmerman
Community Standards Director, 512-948-7461

Recently, a non-community member has been putting flyers in mailboxes offering to paint your home’s address number with reflective paint on the curb in front of your home for a $25 donation. The person making the offer claims that having the address painted on the curb will greatly assist all police, fire or emergency services units responding to an emergency in finding your home.

Fortunately, most residents ignored this offer recognizing that all homes in the community have lighted address plates and that emergency vehicles have Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) systems that assist them in finding the location of an emergency. The Design Guidelines prohibits the painting of reflective house numbers on street curbs.
Residents are asked to wear masks when visiting the Fitness Centers, Golf Shops, Activities Center, the Farmers Market and the WOW! Bookmobile when they are in our parking lots.
