is springtime and fawns are being born. As always, we advise residents
to leave fawns alone. Often fawns appear "orphaned," when in fact they
are fine and have been hidden by their mothers. Fawning season lasts
about two to three weeks, so let them be unless you feel it is an
emergency for the fawn. ______________________________________________ Ride-Along with Citizens on Patrol (COPs)COPS
Volunteers provide a noticeable presence throughout Sun City in order to
support residents' safety and security. They observe, report, and assist
as necessary in situations requiring emergency and non-emergency
responses. If you’d like to learn more about COPs, schedule a ride-along on a 2-hour patrol shift with a COPS volunteer by contacting contact Nancy Fronczak at [email protected] with your preferred day of the week and time of day. ______________________________________________ Sun City Park New Outdoor KitchenA

Even addresses are allowed to water on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Odd addresses are allowed to water Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. There is no watering allowed on Monday.
The City of Georgetown is running a rebate program to promote water conservation and controller programming awareness. You can receive a $75 rebate if you have your controller inspected and set to City recommended specifications by a Licensed Irrigator. Rebates are first-come, first-served and will be discontinued once funds are expended. For more information please visit www.GUS.Georgetown.org/water/rebate.
If you choose to irrigate, my recommendation for watering would be for no more than two days per week, and no more than a 75% water budget/seasonal adjust. However, weather forecasters are suggesting the possible return of rain next week, so be ready to turn those controllers off.
For help setting up your controller or for an evaluation of your irrigation system, email the Water Matters Team at [email protected]. |
