Board Meeting: Monday, Feb. 6, 2:15 p.m., AC, MR 4
The MGA Board of Directors recently concluded its 2017 planning
session. Each planning cycle takes two years so as to allow time
to find volunteers, reserve golf courses and get commitments for
luncheon and dinner facilities. With the upcoming golf course
renovation(s), it might be an interesting summer, but we will
be flexible in some of our current scheduling. Programs for the
coming year will include five major tournaments, weekly play
day competition for both 9- and 18-Hole members, as well as
several new events.
Our Sponsorship Committee is hard at work with last year’s
sponsors (and a few new ones, too) to provide funding for our
activities. One of the key projects for this year is to enhance the
awareness of our sponsors to the members of the MGA.
As always, the MGA wants to thank the golf staff including
maintenance support for the work they do to make our
tournaments, play days and competition successful and fun.
With over 600 members, needs and wants vary widely but the
golf staff always goes out of its way to help the members. We look
forward to the many highlights of the upcoming year!
