and 1 p.m., BC
Contact: Bill Templeman, 512-863-
3159 or
We invite all Sun City residents to come
and enjoy the game of bocce. Newcomers
are always welcome. After a few sessions
we will invite you to join our club. Our
dues are only $6 for the remainder of
the year.
During the past month, three members
rolled a five point frame: Nick Drury,
Don Webb, and Paul Wiener.
There will be a bocce club member meet-
ing on Thursday, November 6, at 10 a.m.
at Cowan Creek Activities Center, in
the Jarrel/Walburg Rooms. Club officers
for 2015 will be elected, changes in club
bylaws will be proposed, and details of
the annual Christmas dinner will be
discussed.
Bocce Fact of the Month:
Where may
the bocce player stand when rolling the
balls? The player must stand with both
feet on the court, within the walls, and
behind the foul line (the line closest to
the end of the court). The player may roll
from anywhere behind the foul line. It is
bocce courtesy for the opposing player to
step out of the court while the competing
team’s player is rolling.
