Sage in Bloom Questers
Sage in Bloom Questers chapter invites
you to visit us to help preserve histori-
cal landmarks and learnmore about U.S.
history. We enjoy trips to places such as
the Czech Museum in Temple, speakers
about collections (not necessarily antiques)
and history such as “Texas Outlaws.” We
meet the first Tuesday of the month (not

Shuffleboard
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 10 a.m.
Spring is here and it’s time to try new
activities. The Shuffleboard courts are
open every day at all hours, adjacent to
the bocce ball courts. An open groupmeets
Tuesdays andThursdays, 10-11:30 a.m. for
social, non-competitive games. Discs, cues
(sticks) and rules are available in court-
side storage. Neighborhoods can reserve
the courts for neighborhood events. For

Sky Girls
We are a group of retired stewardesses,
better known today as flight attendants,
who meet monthly in the home of one of
our members. Our meetings are held the

Austin Statesman-American journalist
Mary Ann Roser will address “Eyes on
Medical Care.” She has covered Texas
health and medical issues since 2000,
including reporting the impact of the
state’s rejection of Medicaid expansion
on hospitals and the uninsured. Her
training includes fellowships at the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology;
National Library of Medicine and the
U.S. Centers for Disease Control. As al-
ways, the meeting is free and the public
is cordially invited to attend.
