Bits of Info from Ginny’s Desk
By Ginny Wagner, Community Standards Assistant
A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) has been published on
the Community Standards website at
/
community-association/sites/castds/faq. These questions are
representative of those that have been asked by residents over
the past year. The answers are cited from the Design Guidelines.
If you have any questions about the FAQs, or wish to have a
question added to the list, feel free to email ginny.wagner@
sctexas.org.
The Xeriscape task force is busy perfecting language that will
allow specific changes to the Design Guidelines. For those who
want to make modifications prior to a completed XAG plan,
remember that you can make modifications to your property
within the existing guidelines that can save water. The mora-
torium on Xeriscape is only for applications that exceed the
current Design Guidelines standards.
Taken from page 39 of the Design Guidelines, the chart shows
that up to 60 percent of your property can be inert material;
thus, even if a total Xeriscape is not permitted, you can still
modify existing beds or exchange grassy areas for new beds
with drought-resistant plants and river rock, as long as the
square footage of inert materials falls within the percentages.

Finally, remember that January 15 is the last day for our holi-
day decorations to be displayed. Thank you to all who beautify
our community during the holiday season. We appreciate each
and every one of you.
