Contact: Sue March,
Let’s Pickle!”
This is the unofficial call to arms (or
paddles) for the Pickleball Association
of Sun City Texas. Almost any morning
and afternoon, members of the club are
on the courts noisily engaged in hav-
ing FUN. The high-pitched ‘poink’ of
the plastic balls, friendly banter and
laughter often guide curious onlookers
to pause and wonder, “Is it legal to have
so much fun?” The answer is an unquali-
fied, “YES!”
Pickleball in Sun City is played at sev-
eral levels. Players meet almost every
morning and afternoon for social play.
These are generally pick-up games in-
volving players of all skill levels and ev-
eryone is welcome to join in the action.
We also offer non-competitive social play
for women on Wednesdays and competi-
tive league play for those seeking to test
their skills. Players who enjoy serious
competition often participate in outside
events such as the Senior Games and
Senior Olympics.
