Private Lessons
We are extremely fortunate here in Sun City to have two pickleball teaching professionals who offer private lessons to our membership at below market rates.
Matthew Boyett and Esteban Espada share Court #23 at North Point, Monday through Saturday from 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, and are available to give private lessons for below market prices. Policy and information on their backgrounds, their hours and their rates follow.
Our teaching professionals operate under the following conditions:
Clients restricted to members of the Sun City Texas Pickleball Club
Responsible to schedule and collect payment directly from clients
Adhere to the following price list for lessons:
1 Hour Lesson per person – $60 for 1 / $35 for 2 / $25 for 3 / $20 for 4
90 Minute Lesson per person - $90 for 1 / $50 for 2 / $35 for 3 / $30 for 4
Respond to client requests within 48 hours
Provide “Tips from the Teaching Professional” for inclusion in monthly Kitchen Talk

Esteban currently resides in Killeen, TX, but his roots are from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. He is a retired veteran, having served in the U.S. Army for 23 years. His sports background varies, but table tennis was his passion and tops his list. He started playing pickleball in 2018 and has never looked back. Pickleball has refueled his life and helped him embrace his family and community. It has opened opportunities for him, and he looks forward to paying it forward in Sun City. Esteban is client focused. Besides coaching or teaching a lesson, he wants to learn the background of his students so he can better help them. He is International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) Level 1 and 2 certified. He is recommended by Matt Laz who rates his observational and coaching skills as excellent. He has played pickleball for 4 years and is rated 4.5 in Men's and Mixed Doubles; 3.91 in Singles, and has competed in 17 tournaments. He is also a Pickleball Ambassador for Bell County.

Pickleball Teaching Pro, Summit Recreation Center. Exercise Specialist, Cedar Crest Rehabilitation. Played 20+ tournaments, earning Gold, 4.5 Men’s Doubles, Pickleball Hall of Fame; Silver, Men’s Doubles, PPA Texas Open Shootout 4.5; Bronze, 4.5 Mixed Doubles, USAP Mid-South Regional.
