Dec 2023 - Rita Johnston

 

Rita Johnston joined the Sun City Photography Club in 2017, shortly after she moved from the Dallas area to Sun City.  Since then, she has been an active, avid member in the club.  Although she used several travel cameras early on, she learned photography in the club SIGs and classes, from advanced members, and lots of experimentation!  

She entered her first contest in the club’s annual competition in 2017 as a novice, won first place, and she has since entered many competitions.  She believes the process makes her a better photographer.  She loves to photograph beautiful places, nature, birds, and interesting people.  She currently uses a Sony RX10iv and iPhone 13 Pro Max.  

You can view her photography at the on-site exhibits in Sun City, Sun Rays, the Arts and Craft Fair, Georgetown area exhibits, the City of Richardson Photo Contest exhibits, and Photographic Society of America (PSA) Digital Showcase this month. She has been married to Ken Johnston for 26 years, and they both enjoy their photography hobby together.
