iPhone Health Applications

 Course Prerequisite:

iPhone Basics or equivalent experience

Course Description:

This course will allow attendees to immediately start using their iPhones to enhance their health and increase their sense of safety. At the end of the class, users will know how to set their phones for immediate access of health information for emergency responders. They will also know how to use their iPhones to indicate whom to call in an emergency and how to collect, view, and share health and fitness data.

In addition, attendees will know how to provide information on their or other users’ locations, how to use devices to monitor the position of people who might wander, and how to use their iPhones to help themselves understand where they are.

Course Objectives:

This course will provide more information about the ways in which iPhone users can use their devices to:

  • Collect health and fitness data
  • View health and fitness information
  • Monitor audio levels
  • Share health and fitness data
  • Download health records
  • Create a medical ID
  • Register as an organ donor
  • Back up health data
  • Use location services
  • Create emergency contacts
  • Set iPhone to call 911 even when it is locked
