Class Sessions: Two, 2-hour classes

Course Description:

This course provides a basic knowledge of the Apple Macintosh computer. It begins with a tour of the operating screen. From there, it covers the basic operations that allow you to successfully start a program, locate documents, get assistance when questions arise, and shut down the computer.

Specific topics covered include:

  • The desktop, finder and its related windows, menus, toolbars & folders
  • The Dock
  • System Preferences
  • Default Folders
  • Finder Window Views:  Icon, List, Column, Gallery
  • Drag/Drop Procedures
  • Beginning directions for Mac Mail, internet browser, word processing
  • Getting information/help
  • Terminology & definitions
