Windows Files & Folders

Class Sessions: One, 2-hour class

 

Course Prerequisites:

Windows Basic & Windows 10 or equivalent experience. 

Course Description:  

This class is designed for the computer user who creates both files and folders on the computer.  The techniques are nearly the same in Windows 7 and 10. This class deals with the organization and recall of files and folders.

Course Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course, the student will be able to:

• create a file in wordpad, notepad, or MS Word
• create a folder on the desktop and on the C: drive
• move files into folders
• retrieve files and/or folders using the search tool
• understand and create a hierarchy of folders within Documents/Recipes
• move data from the C: drive to external devices
• organize folders into types of files: Excel, Word, photos, videos, music
• use the Windows Explorer function
