Best of Luck to Rob McFall
Please join us in wishing Robert McFall a happy farewell from our company. Rob has been with us for six years and is taking the opportunity to pursue a new chapter in his life with his career and family.

Since Rob joined our company, he has been a valuable and well respected member of our team. As the Director of I.T., he has been appreciated by his co-workers and residents for his work, contributions and dedication.  We will miss Rob, and wish him all the best for his future endeavors.

On behalf of everyone at Sun City Texas, we wish Rob good luck for the future and bid him a joyful sendoff. His last day in the office will be Friday, May 29.

Updates and Re-Openings

As Sun City Texas begins to re-open facilities on a transitional basis, remember that it is an individual choice to participate in any CA activity or to enter a venue. Anyone who chooses to participate is doing so at their own risk. Please take your personal safety and the safety of others seriously during this particularly difficult time.

The following clubs and organizations have submitted transitional guidelines to use CA facilities. Please click the below link to view their board approved transitional guidelines:

Friendly Reminders: Pathway Safety for All
Submitted by Jim Romine, Executive Director

It has been brought to my attention that some golf cart drivers are not yielding to pedestrians who are crossing the bridge on the pathway between N-59 and Sun City Blvd. Please remember this section of the pathway must be shared and the area for pedestrians is painted in yellow on the bridge. See photos above. The white lines were added in the curved sections of the golf cart path to help keep golf carts on their side of the pathway, to keep all safe and to avoid a head-on accident between two carts.

So, please be safe and remember, a golf cart can seriously injure a pedestrian and we all need to look out for each other. Other rules for this area are pedestrians need to stay on the mulched pathway (except when crossing the bridge) and dogs must stay on a leash. Also, cyclists must walk their bikes on the mulched pathway and are not permitted to use the golf cart pathway. Be safe and be kind.
Mask Up
Residents are asked to wear masks when visiting our Farmers Market and Book Mobile in our parking lots. We have made it mandatory that both Farmers Market and Book Mobile vendors wear masks to be in Sun City to protect you. Please show the same respect and protect yourself, your neighbors and vendors!
 Golf Cart Crossing
 Pedestrian Crossing
Golf Cart Crossing vs. Pedestrian Crosswalks

Now that golf is back in full 'swing', we are seeing more golf carts on the streets and maneuvering the courses. Did you know there are street crossings specifically for golf carts? The golf cart crossing has a striped pattern and a traffic sign showing a golf cart. Golf carts must stop at the stop sign on the path before safely crossing. This crossing is for golf carts or golfers walking the course, carrying their clubs. Pedestrians need to use the pedestrian crosswalk.

The pedestrian crosswalks have two parallel white lines (no stripes) and a pedestrian traffic sign. As we have recently reported, we have many new pedestrian crosswalks with the flashing lights as an added alert for drivers to stop, but remember you must press the button for the light to flash. Drivers, remember that pedestrians have the right of way - make sure to check the crosswalks as you drive.

 Watch Out for Rattlesnakes

Texas is home to rattlesnakes. If you look at the picture above you can see how well they blend into the landscape. Be cautious when working in the garden or taking an evening walk - they love the cool night air.

 Soliciting Guidelines

The CA cannot restrict solicitors from our community. If you do not want them knocking on your door, you can post a "No Soliciting" sign by your front entry. Here are the guidelines should you wish to add such a sign.

HOA Payments

How do I make HOA payments since all indoor facilities are closed?
There are several options for making payments to the CA:
  • Mail a check made payable to SCTXCA to 2 Texas Drive, Georgetown, TX 78633.
  • Place a check in the drop box just outside the door leading into the Social Center by the Member Services Office. The drop box is located on wall to the right.
  • Make an online payment using the instructions found at https://www.sctexas.org/Files/Library/27956/2020DIRECTORYHOAPAMENTS.PDF
  • Call Cynthia Chapman, Member Services Manager, at 512-948-7716 and leave a message. She will return your call and obtain credit card information.   Please do not leave a credit card number on the phone message.
  • Call Heidi Beaird, Member Services Coordinator, at 512-948-7720 and leave a message. She will return your call and obtain credit card information.   Please do not leave a credit card number on the phone message.
  • Email Learhea Verett, Staff Accountant, at [email protected] and ask her to include member charges in your approved ACH draft limit. You will need to include your name, member number and the approved amount that can be drafted from your account for miscellaneous charges.
