Yes, we are shut down. But that doesn’t mean your body has to shut down. This situation is anxiety provoking to say the least. However, this is the time for all of us to step up, to take our fitness lifestyle seriously. Remember, giving up is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. And it will short-change you in the long haul. Hanging in there and exercising despite the obstacles is also a permanent solution to a temporary problem. This will set you up for success. None of know when this crisis will end. We can’t control this fact of the world right now. We can control ourselves, however, and how we react in times like these. As hard as it is, we need to think about how we can come out of this situation better than when we went in it.
Many of us feel lost. Some of us have a hard time grasping what to do in this situation. The best thing for you to do, right now, is tell yourself that this virus is not going to win. It is not going to steal your dedication to the fitness lifestyle. Get your mind in the game, and the rest will come.
The trainers of Sun City are here to help you. In the coming days and weeks, we will be providing guidance on how to navigate this new, temporary normal in fitness. Remember, we are in this together. For now, stay strong, stay committed. Stay focused on why you started.
