Entering its 14th season, Summer Stock Austin is a program unlike any other in the nation. From performing to designing and building sets, Performing Arts students from across the country work side-by-side with local and national theater professionals to present three fully produced musicals each year.
This summer's featured presentation, How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying, is a delightfully clever lampoon of life on the corporate ladder. Jam-packed with swift, sharp jabs to the funny bone, this musical romp follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch, who uses a little handbook called How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying, to navigate the dangers of office politics and company romance. Power, sex, ambition, greed…it's just another day at the office.
