Subject: Your Next Log in to the Website: Age Verification Survey and Directory Listing Update

Sun City Texas IMPORTANT NOTICE The next time you log into the website one member of your household will be prompted to confirm that a member of the household is at least age 55. After confirming this, please take a moment to review/update your profile for the upcoming printed Directory. Please see below for further information.   * Remember, each resident must log in using their own Member ID. One spouse's updates do not update the profile of the other spouse. Resident Age Verification Survey   Federal law requires us to periodically update our records and confirm that at least 80% of the households in Sun City Texas have at least one resident 55 years of age or over. This is necessary to maintain our "55 or over" exemption to the Federal Fair Housing Act, otherwise it would be illegal for Sun City to restrict occupancy primarily to older residents.   To help us satisfy our legal duty to update our records, one member of each household is asked to log into the website and take the one-question survey. After one person in the household has answered the survey question to certify that a member of their household is 55 or older, no other members of the household will need to take the survey.   *Hint: If you log into the website and you are not prompted to take the survey, this means that another member of your household has already taken the survey and no action is needed.   - Log in to the website with your Member ID and password - Will you be in the 2019 Resident Directory? Update Your Directory Profile & Preferences It's Important to check your own Profile & Preferences by March 22!   Even if you have been listed in the printed directory in the past, it is critical that each resident log into the website using their own member ID (not their spouse’s) to check and update their profile in the online directory by March 22!
