We want to keep you informed about the recent activation of our Outdoor Warning Siren system. Earlier today, on Friday, March 8, the City of Georgetown conducted a test of the siren near Fire Station 3. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
Our Outdoor Warning Sirens, totaling 23 across the city, undergo regular testing. Typically, these tests occur on the first Saturday of each month at 11 a.m., consisting of two consecutive 60-second audible tests.
