UIL Tournament traffic reminders
Monday, May 16 and Tuesday, May 17, 8 a.m.
5A at White Wing; 6A at Legacy Hills (Girls)
Sun City Texas has been honored to host this year’s Texas 5A and 6A High School Golf State Championships. Players, spectators and media will be present. Please use caution and drive slowly on Del Webb Boulevard and Sun City Boulevard. Volunteers wearing fluorescent vests will assist spectators crossing the streets.
During this two-day event, resident parking will not be available in the Legacy Hills parking lot to accommodate students, coaches and anyone in need of handicap-accessible parking. Resident parking will be available at the Social Center on Texas Drive for anyone who would like to attend the tournament. Driving golf carts and sharing parking lot spaces is highly encouraged.
For those who want to attend the tournament, please use the neighborhood roads to move around the golf course instead of the cart paths. With as many spectators as we have, extra cart traffic on the paths can be an issue and a distraction for players.

No driving golf carts outside of Sun City Texas
Submitted by Jim Romine, Executive Director, [email protected]
It has been brought to our attention that some residents have been driving their golf carts on CR 245 to access the new Pickleball area. Please remember, it is against the law to drive your golf carts outside of Sun City Texas. While there are a few exceptions to this (Walgreens at Del Webb/Williams, Baylor Scott and White Clinic), golf carts must remain in the community and on our roadways here in the community that do not exceed 35 MPH.
Spread the word and please, use the Developer provided cart path located in N68 located between 318 and 322 Kitty Hawk Rd. to access this new amenity area located at 700 CR 245. Please note, this will also be the location of Silver Hall, the multi-purpose facility we will add later this year as well as the half court for basketball and new bocce courts.

Drought Contingency Phase I
Rain showers in the Georgetown area were much needed last week, but we are still in Drought Contingency Phase 1.
We want to remind City of Georgetown water customers that there should be no watering between the hours of noon and 7 p.m. on your appropriate watering days, and no watering at all on Mondays.
For more tips on how to sustain a healthy lawn while conserving our precious drinking water during the hottest time of the year, check out water.georgetown.org
