Behind the Brick Submissions: Deadline extended to July 26!
Since 2003, bricks have been placed on the Williamson County Veterans Memorial Plaza recognizing those who have served this country. But with room for only 48 letters, the inscriptions on these bricks tell only a fraction of the story. Sun Rays would like to tell the rest.

If you have ever purchased a brick or have been honored by one, tell us the story Behind the Brick. Include the name, unit, ship or organization of the honoree. Stories will be featured in Sun Rays’ Behind the Brick series.

Please limit submissions to 500 words or less. Photographs are highly encouraged. Sun Rays will be happy to document awards and other ephemera upon request. Send stories to [email protected] by Monday, July 26 to be featured in fall/winter 2021.

All questions can be directed to Jaime Calder at 512-948-7745.
Please Don't Feed the Deer
Sun City Texas is home to abundant native wildlife. It is against CA rules to feed deer or any other wildlife except birds. The City of Georgetown also prohibits feeding deer.

Click here to read the rules and to find out about SCTX wildlife.
Golf Course Walking Access Returns in July

Walking is not permitted on any of the Sun City Golf courses in the month of June due to the summer maintenance schedule. Golf course walking access will be reinstated July 2021.
Watch your mailbox! NEW 2021-2022 Directory
The next edition of the Sun City Texas Resource Guide & Directory will be delivered to your mailbox July 7-9.
What do I do with my old Directory?
Once your new Directory arrives, please deposit your old Directory in the blue bin located across from the tennis courts at 2 Texas Drive. The Community Association shreds these books to protect your privacy.
Remember, the blue bin is only to be used for disposal of old Sun City Texas Resident Directories.
Native Area Maintenance Update
The mowers are moving at a fair pace and making good progress. The proposed neighborhood order of maintenance is listed below. Neighborhoods highlighted in yellow have been completed.

Although most of this process can be handled by our mowers, there are some areas that are less accommodating and will need to be handled with line trimmers. The line trimmers can be two weeks or more behind the mowers. All cuttings will be left where they fall. This is a Firewise exercise only, and not for aesthetic, or any other purpose.
