Fourth of July Golf Course Flags
Please note that on Sunday, July 4, the flags on the golf courses will be American Flags. If you choose to take a flag out of its hole at any point, please be sure that it does not touch the ground. Thank you!
Handicap Access Flags
For those that have handicap access flags, please remember these flags should be clearly displayed at or above the roof line of the golf cart so that it is visible from a distance while on the golf course.

Also, please note that golf carts should be no closer than 30 feet from the green, should not be driven between the green and the cart path, and should not be driven between the green and the greenside bunkers.
Titleist Golf Ball Fitting
On Thursday, July 8, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m., we will host a golf ball fitting day at the Cowan Creek Driving Range. Titleist representatives will be on site to help fit golfers to the golf ball that suits them best. You're invited to take advantage of this unique opportunity. Come and receive some free samples!
Superintendent Revenge - Friday, July 30!
The Superintendent Revenge Golf Event is one of our most popular events with the next edition coming up Friday, July 30 at Cowan Creek. Please save the date and begin putting your team together as registration will begin Monday, July 5.

Registration forms and payment are to be turned in to the Cowan Creek Golf Shop. Please note that the field is limited to the first 36 teams, so don't wait as this event will fill up fast!

Worm Infestation
As you may have noticed, there are a few holes that have an infestation of Army Worms. These are an extremely fast-moving species that travel in large numbers, devouring the leaf blades of our turf. Army Worms typically start under trees and make their way across the course from the tree line. They are usually seen in the fall, but the cooler weather and extreme rain totals have made them active earlier this year.

The good news is that Army Worms are easily controlled with a common pesticide, and your superintendents have been spot treating the courses as they are identified. We sincerely appreciate all the golfers that called in to let us know these viral worms were active on the courses.
Course Records
We are looking into displaying the course records from each tee box for each course. We need your help determining the current course records from each tee box. If you believe a round you shot is in contention, we need the following information.

  • Player name
  • Date the round was played
  • The tee box the round was played from
  • A completed scorecard with hole-by-hole scores
  • The player names that witnessed the round

Please drop off a completed scorecard with the above information to Andy Miller at the Cowan Creek Golf Shop and contact him at [email protected] with any questions.
"Get Your Ansel Adams on!"
Share your photos from around the golf courses with us. We know some of you are incredible photographers and we would love for you to share your photos with the rest of the community. Please send a photo you shot on one of the three golf courses along with a short description. When sending your picture please send in the highest resolution possible and please provide a title you would like used if selected.

You may send your photo to Josh Lockhart at [email protected]

Punch Card Balances
As we approach the halfway point of the year, many punch card holders are beginning to run on low balances or may even be completely out. You can refer to your statement or you can check with a golf shop to see where your account stands. If you'd like to add more rounds, you may do so in increments of 10 rounds at the same per round rate. This can be done at any of the three golf shops.
