SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION FOR AN ADVISORY COMMITTEE POSITION
 
APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY FRIDAY, MARCH 19 AT 4 p.m.
The Advisory Committees continue to support the operations of the Sun City lifestyle for residents. Your background, talents and experience can help them do this.
 
Current Advisory Committee openings include Charter Clubs, Covenants, Emergency Management, Finance, Golf, Modifications, Property & Grounds and Wildlife.
 Go to www.sctexas.org and click on Community Association Info, click on Committees and Task Forces, then on Nominating Committee to apply. If you are unable to print the application, email Katie Newnam at [email protected] for assistance.
 
To inform you further, also go to the www.sctexas.org website. Click on Community Association Information and review the Committees. Look at their charter, minutes and attend open meetings to learn more.
 
Applicant’s interviews with the Nominating Committee will be scheduled at a later date.
 
Remember, applications are due by 4 p.m. on Friday, March 19.

Due to the power outages and extreme weather, the virtual New Resident Orientation is rescheduled. If you already registered, you should have received an update from GoTo Webinar.

Enjoying the Outdoors Safely
 
Believe it or not, warmer temps are just around the corner - can leisurely walks and cycling be far behind? Here are some tips to enjoy these outdoor activities safely.
Walkers
  • Wear reflective or bright clothing.
  • Light your way with a small flashlight or headlamp.
  • Be aware of your surroundings.
  • No walking in the road if a sidewalk is accessible.
Cyclists
  • Wear a helmet and use a front (white)/rear (red) flashing light. 
  • Wear neon, fluorescent or other bright clothing.
  • Whenever possible, ride during the day.
  • If you must ride at night, wear reflective clothing and use flashing lights.
Check Your Profile
It's time to update your profile for the 2021-2022 Directory. Even if you have been listed in the printed directory in the past, it is critical that each resident log in to the website to check and update their profile in the online directory by Friday, March 26!

Please carry a mask for those times when you are not able to keep six feet of physical distance between you and people that are not in your household. This is especially important to remember when jogging or walking the hiking trails, golf cart paths, sidewalks and when outside with others in potentially close proximity.

Temporary Road Closures
 
There is ongoing construction at Yellow Rose Trail and the cart path entrances to Walgreens. The entrances may be periodically closed depending on construction and weather. 
Wriggley's and Mulligan's offer dine-in and take-out
Both Mulligan's and Wriggley's are considered restaurants, not bars -- therefore they are open as long as customers follow social distancing guidelines. Customers must wear masks when entering, exiting and when moving around inside the buildings.

  • Resident and Resident Guest Only.
  • Resident guests must be accompanied by a resident.
  • No bicycles or golf carts.
  • Pedestrians must stay on the cart path unless to maintain social distancing.
  • Residents must carry CA issued resident badge or driver’s license.
  • Pets must be on a leash and you must clean up after your pet. 
  • Please bring a mask with you on your walk. If you can’t maintain six feet physical distancing then put on your mask while passing people and remove it when you are six feet away.
