Greens Covering Policy

We have some chilly weather in the forecast for the next few days. We will be covering the greens tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 12. We plan to remove the covers on Wednesday, Feb. 17. Plans are subject to change and will remain dependent on forecast.  Please click here to review our Greens Covering Policy.
Winter Fairway
As you all have noticed by this point, we have implemented a new winter fairway program this year. It consists of a green pigment to help keep the green grass look, along with iron, which helps keep the turf a darker shade. The program also contains a micronutrient package to replace any stored nutrients lost during winter. This has multiple benefits in differentiating the fairways from the rough through our dormant season as well as promoting earlier Spring green up. The darker colors help draw heat in and in turn, the Bermuda comes out of dormancy much quicker. We started the monthly applications in October, and they will continue through April.
MGA Spring Member-Member

Registration is now open for the first major MGA event of the year! Registration is done through the ticketing system, but you need to make sure you have paid your 2021 MGA dues first.

Interested in joining a Walking League ?

We would like to begin a walking golf league in March once Daylight Savings begins. The goal is to have a weekly league that begins at 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. in a single tee format. To begin, this will just be a friendly league without competition.

Please send an email to Erik Beyer at [email protected] if you are interested or have any questions.
Accessing GHIN

The GHIN System now requires a unique email address for each golfer to be able to login to the GHIN.com handicap system. Most golfers currently in the system have an email included in their profile but if you don't, you'll need to contact Erik Beyer at Legacy Hills, [email protected] or call 512-948-7563. The new requirements also involve golfers creating a password to login. The steps to accomplish this are as follows:

  1.  Go to www.GHIN.com
  2.  Type in your GHIN number or email address, leave the password blank
  3.  Click on the "Forgot Password" link at the bottom of the page
  4.  Follow the instructions to obtain a link that will be emailed to you so that you can set up a password.

Share your photos from around the golf courses with us. We know some of you are incredible photographers and we would love for you to share your photos with the rest of the community. Please send a photo you shot on one of the three golf courses along with a short description. When sending your picture please send in the highest resolution possible and please provide a title you would like used if selected. We will select one photo per week to post in the Golf Communicator with the photographer’s name and the photo description. The staff is working towards the ability to share all photos submitted on the Sun City Website. We should have an update soon.
