Adopt-A-Hole Program

Our Adopt-A-Hole program is an important part of golf in Sun City. Adopt-A-Hole is an all-volunteer program that helps keep our golf courses in good shape and also saves money by helping keep maintenance issues to a minimum. Volunteers fill divots, repair ball marks on greens, clean up loose tees, repair or move restraining ropes as needed where excessive cart wear to grass is apparent, notify Maintenance of any exceptional issues that need to be addressed, etc. Team work is performed on a periodic basis, generally weekly or semi-monthly, at the discretion of each Adopt-A-Hole team.

Holes are usually “adopted” by groups of golfing buddies or golfers from a neighborhood that is near a given hole. Teams can be any size and are headed by a designated “Captain”. The Captain assumes responsibility for directing the team and serves as the communication focal point for his or her team as part of overall Adopt-A-Hole program coordination.

There are currently two golf holes available for “adoption”, White Wing #3 and, as of January 1, Cowan Creek #8.

If you are interested in forming an Adopt-A-Hole team or would like to join an existing team, please contact Clay Stubbins, Adopt-A-Hole Program Coordinator, at [email protected]
Cart Traffic

First, we would like to thank each and every player that has adhered to the cart rules and assisted us in maintaining excellent conditions. We are entering the season of dormancy for Bermuda grass and ask that all players be mindful of the unintentional damage they or their golf carts may cause. During the winter months please walk to your ball as much as possible and limit cart traffic on the turf as much as possible. The current rules will remain in place, we just ask that you assist us in limiting cart traffic on the turf whenever you can. Please click here to read an article on the importance of limiting cart traffic in the Winter months. Thank you for your assistance!
New Filtration System

We recently upgraded our filtration system for the pump station that supplies White Wing and Cowan Creek Golf courses. It was shipped all the way from Australia and took some time to land in the U.S. thanks to COVID-19. It is state of the art and will help ease the summer stress on our courses by supplying the proper pressure needed to irrigate our turf.
" Get Your Ansel Adams On! "

Share your photos from around the golf courses with us. We know some of you are incredible photographers and we would love for you to share your photos with the rest of the community. Please send a photo you shot on one of the three golf courses along with a short description. When sending your picture please send in the highest resolution possible and please provide a title you would like used if selected. We will select one photo per week to post in the Golf Communicator with the photographer’s name and the photo description.

You may send your photo to Josh Lockhart at [email protected]

Gathering at the Facility

We’ve seen an increase in players gathering at all three courses following play. Once play has completed, players need to leave the facility and refrain from gathering. This includes parking lots and any area on golf property. One area in particular is behind Mulligan's restaurant near 18 green at White Wing. Please be courteous to your fellow players and adhere to our current guidelines. Thank you for your assistance.

 COVID-19 Credit

Just a friendly reminder that if you received a COVID-19 credit to your account, it needs to be used by the end of the year. Those funds can be used for anything including merchandise, rounds of golf, lessons and also for your 2021 golf pass. Please, remember use that COVID-19 credit before Thursday, Dec. 31. Thank you!
