Golf Calendars

The golf calendars are kept up to date and in real time on the Sun City Texas website under the golf section. They are an excellent tool to keep you aware of upcoming events and daily tee sheet formats. Please reference them frequently to keep yourself informed and prepared for your upcoming play.

Limited Golf Carts

Please take note that this Saturday, Sept. 19, golf cart availability may be limited due to an event at the Cowan Creek golf course. We believe there will be enough golf carts available for all that need them, however players should become accustomed to reserving a golf cart ahead of time.

If you will need a golf cart on Saturday, Sept. 19 please contact the golf course ahead of time to ensure there is a cart available.
Non-Resident
Golf Tournaments

We will be hosting our first non-resident tournament this Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Cowan Creek golf course. We would like to share with you how resident play should proceed when we are hosting an event of this nature as well as the measures we are taking for safety surrounding the tournament.
Resident play Residents will have tee times in an 8 a.m. shotgun. Please proceed as directed by the transitional guidelines for shotgun formats. It is important that following the completion of your round, exit the golf course from the golf course. Do not enter or exit through the parking lot at the Cowan Creek golf course. This is to prevent residents from interacting with non-residents.

  • Driving range and all practices areas closed prior to play.
  • Players should go straight to their hole no earlier than 15 minutes prior to start time.
  • First tee shot should be struck at time of shotgun start, i.e. 8 a.m. or 1 p.m.
  • Immediately following the completion of the round players should leave the golf course.
  • Check-in will be performed during play by the starter who will go around the golf course and checking each group.
  • Players needing a rental cart should pick their cart up no earlier than 30 minutes prior to the shotgun start and head to their holes no earlier than 15 minutes prior.
  • If a player has any questions, they should contact the golf shop prior to coming onto the golf course property.

Non-resident tournament safety measures – There are very stringent restrictions on the golf tournament to keep it as safe as possible for both the players and the community. Players will arrive and get on their carts, they will play golf and then they will leave immediately following play.

  • Registration will be performed on the course to prevent gathering at a registration table.
  • Masks are required except during play on the course.
  • There will be no scoring following play.
  • There will be no gathering of any sort prior to or following play.
