Transition is looming in the not too distant future. It will be one of the most important issues confronting us. Sun City is a special place and we need to plan to make absolutely sure that it stays that way after the developer leaves us.
There has been some work done in the past but we need to review that work and make sure that it is current and relevant. There will be much more work to be done.
The Board will need to assemble a Transition Taskforce of our brightest and most experienced residents to help guide the Board through this process. This must be a high priority and we must start this process soon. Three to six years will go fast.
We will need to make sure our advisory committees are filled with our best-qualified people and that they are selected in an impartial process. It is everyone’s responsibility to step up and volunteer his or her special talents. A few hours a month is not much of a price to pay to keep our little bubble in tact. We need your participation.
It is possible that new committees that must be formed and maybe some of the existing ones altered or transformed to better meet our changing needs. We do not want this to be a “learn as you go process”. The more preparation we do on the front end the better for all of us. There will be bumps in the road and difficult decisions to be made by the Board.
I have served on various CA committees for 10 years and also as a Neighborhood Representative. Vote for me to allow me to use my extensive knowledge and experience
I have gained relating to Sun City to help prepare us for this most important period.
