From humble beginnings along the banks of the Brazos River to a thriving city of art and education, travel a timeline of Waco, known as Athens on the Brazos.

We begin at The Texas Grand Masonic Lodge where Texas Masons boast such influential members as Presidents, governors, and an astronaut who established a Masonic lunar outpost called Tranquility Lodge No 2000. Explore Masonic history and memorabilia along with Republic of Texas and the Texas railroad artifacts.

Lunch on your own is next. Choices: barbecue at Rudy's, 50s style burgers at Texas Health Camp, or upscale farm fresh brunch at Magnolia Table.

With ticket purchase, specify a museum to visit after lunch. Choices: Texas Rangers, Texas Sports, or Browning Library. Established in 1823 to bring peace to an untamed frontier, Texas Rangers have become one of the most famous and respected crime-fighting forces in the nation. The Texas Sports Hall of Fame provides an interactive tour of the history of Texas athletics both on and off the field.  The Browning Library & Museum, dedicated to the collections of Robert and Elizabeth Browning with furnishings, art, antiques and 62 stained glass windows, is a must for romantics.

Finally, choose (1) guided tour of The Dr Pepper Museum with memorabilia treasure trove and a cold frosty Dr Pepper OR (2) stroll through the famed Magnolia Market for retail therapy and sweet treats.

Ticket cost includes transportation and museum fees.  Maximum tickets:  40
